Freddie Mac recently released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market survey showing mortgage rates easing to new all-time record lows for all products covered in the survey, helping to keep homebuyer affordability high. The average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortage fell to a record low of 3.89% for the week ending January 12, down from the previous week when it averaged 3.91%. Real estate agent designations and certifications acknowledge specific experience and expertise in various real estate sectors and are awarded to agents by affiliated real estate groups, organizations, societies, and councils upon completion of required courses, training and or achievements.

Below is information on the designations and certifications that I hold.

 

Accredited Seller Representative (ASR)

Nancy David, Realtor, joins a select group of top producers in the residential real estate industry who hold this highly sought-after designation. Nancy David earned the ASR Designation by attending a intensive two-day seller agency training class geared towards providing agents the tools and skills needed to professionally represent the seller in a real state transaction. In addition, designees must be able to prove that they have conducted successful requirements to hold the designation.

With this designation and increased awareness of seller representation, Realtors can better serve clients and customers. ASR designation sets the individuals who have attained it apart from other practitioners because it indicates to the public that the individual has obtained a professional education on which to base the value added services they provide and are a member of the National Association of Realtors.

There are many benefits to you, the Seller to use an ASR®. (Accredited Seller Representative). Unlike other Sellers' agents, ASR Designees have a proven industry track record. Each designee (Seller Agent) must hold and exemplify a strong commitment to exceed seller expectations throughout all aspects of the real estate transaction.

Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certification (SFR)

REALTORS® who have earned the SFR certification know how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities. Foreclosures and short sales can offer opportunities for home buyers and benefit the larger community, as well, but it’s extremely important to have the help of a real estate professional like a REALTOR® who has earned the SFR certification for these kinds of purchases. The certification program includes training on how to qualify sellers for short sales, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers, and limit risk, and provides resources to help REALTORS® stay current on national and state-specific information as the market for these distressed properties evolves.

 

 

Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE)

Buying or selling a home is one of life's biggest decisions. As in other major decision areas (e.g. major medical situations, major legal questions, financial planning for your retirement, etc.), you want the best advice and help you can get. Acredited Home-Staging Specialist (AHS)

The art of home staging has come into its own and has become "the" buzz word in the industry. But what does staging involve? What should be staged? How much should be done? How much is too much? How is it done to get the best results? All these staging questions and more should be on the mind of today's sellers. The last question is always ... Where can I find the answers?

The answer is the professional real estate agent that has taken the time and effort to become an Accredited Home-Staging Specialist (AHS).
